Bringing lived experience to life.

Made By Mortals ‘Bring Lived Experience to Life’ through immersive audio stories, films, music, theatre, and interactive workshops.

Made By Mortals use participatory arts practice and the principles of coproduction. Participatory Arts is the process of people making and taking part in the creation of art irrespective of ability or experience.

GOTO have helped Made By Mortals develop a consistent visual tone across all brand and communications. The largest part of this project has been to help them to redesign and build their new website. This new website is designed to be accessible for all user groups.

The website was designed to be both informative, clear and fun. It has a clear simplicity in layout showcasing the work of Made by Mortals, what they do and how they go about it. The new website design alsos balance with the promotional graphics for the Made by Mortals productions themselves, which vary in style and character for each story being told.

Participatory arts to spark social change

Made By Mortals, thrive on co-creating art that ignites thoughts, emotions and actions. Drawing from lived experience, they make immersive audio stories, films, theatre, music and interactive workshops. Their productions aim to drive social change, challenge and inspire, empowering the fantastic people who make it with them.

As Made by Mortals developed as a company they also realised that they needed to work on and develop their own visual identity and messaging.

Why Can't You Be Normal

We’ve had a long relationship with Made by Mortals and helped them on graphics for some amazing productions such as, ‘Rats in the Sofa’, ‘Hidden’ and more recently ‘Why Can’t You Be Normal’. Socially aware shows made from real live experience which are then performed to help professional groups and bodies for research and training purposes.
